A challenging but successful project for Industrial Sheetmetals. The new Waikato university is a five-level campus located in downtown Tauranga. Limited access to site, late delivery of plant equipment and a frequently changing scope of works were some of the many challenges Industrial Sheetmetals were faced with during this project. However, these challenges showed us and the client that the combined forces of Industrial Sheetmetals will successfully meet with any given project’s deadlines. Our works on this project included: The manufacture and installation of all HVAC ductwork. Co-ordination of layout, manufacture and installation of the ductwork and plant in the two central plantrooms. Installation of the mechanical plant including fan coil units, air handling units, fans, electric heaters, fire dampers, variable air volume units and attenuators. Assistance in the design of, and supply and installation of all seismic bracing in accordance with the engineer specifications and NZ standards. Manufacture, supply and installation of all stainless steel equipment for the commercial kitchen, including, the canopy rang hood, benches, shelving and wall linings.
